CUSTOMER HIGHLIGHT: Medal of Honor Society Badge
Shown is a Medal of Honor Society Badge. This badge was designed for use by the security detail at the Medal of Honor Society convention in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The convention was held the second week of September 2007, and is an annual event held to honor recipients of our nations highest military award, the Congressional Medal of Honor. The Congressional Medal of Honor was instituted in the earliest days of the Civil War, and recognizes soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who demonstrate actions above and beyond duty at the risk of their own lives. The medal has only been awarded 3444 times in its history, and there are currently 109 living recipients.
The striking feature of the badge is the miniature representations of the medals about the center seal. The Army, Navy, and Air Force versions are all shown there. This badge was also made available to local law enforcement agencies that supported this convention. SymbolArts was proud to have played a part in honoring some of America’s true heroes.
