First, whenever you purchase a new SymbolArts badge it will be packaged in its own individual display case to help protect it from damage. This also becomes a place for you to store it when it is not in use. Second, included in the display case will be a badge care card explaining how to properly maintain the brilliant shine you have come to expect. Third, if you should ever misplace the instructions feel free to contact us for a free copy or specific information about its care and warranty. Fourth, if the badge becomes damaged due to a manufacturing defect please contact SymbolArts for corrective action. And lastly, if your badge ever becomes too worn because of the normal wear and tear of active law enforcement we provide a refurbishing service at a minimal charge to restore it to its original state. By following the guidelines listed, you can prolong the lustrous shine and life of your badge:

1. Clean your badge using only mild soap and water. Do not use any harsh chemicals or abrasives.
2. Dry your badge after cleaning using a 100% cotton towel. Synthetic fibers can scratch the surface of your badge.
3. Should you notice any blemishes on your badge that has occurred during NORMAL wear and tear, contact SymbolArts immediately.

Warranty

SymbolArts manufactures its badges to a very high standard. All badges carry a lifetime warranty against the detachment of safety catches, joints, posts, banners/panels/seals and the discoloration of the cloisonné enamels. In addition each badge carries a 3-year warranty against peeling or flaking of the clear protective covering. The clear coat warranty will be voided if the badge is polished by hand or machine with any metal polish or cleaning/abrasive solution; the bade is soaked or exposed to any solvent; or the badge is repaired or modified by anyone other than SymbolArts. All other manufacturing defects are guaranteed for a period of one (1) year. The warranty period begins form the date stamped on the back of the badge and applies to normal wear.
